Some restaurants are built around a concept. Mediterranean Bakery & Cuisine was built around food — real food, made from scratch, the way it's been made for generations. We're on Fulton Ave in Sacramento, and we've been feeding this neighborhood with warm bread, grilled lamb, fresh shawarma, and honest portions at prices that don't make you think twice. The whole thing starts before dawn. Our bakers are working while Sacramento is still asleep, so by the time we open the doors, the bread is already warm and the kitchen smells like something worth stopping for. A lot of our customers say they walked past and couldn't keep going — that the smell pulled them in. That's exactly how we want it. We're a family-owned, casual place. There's no pretense here, no dress code, no complicated ordering process. You come in, you eat well, you leave full and satisfied. The menu is rooted in Middle Eastern tradition: lamb kebab with genuine meat, chicken shawarma made fresh, falafel done right, and rice dishes that make a complete meal out of it.
